Handmade in the U.S.A. and sold exclusively through J. Racenstein, the new Towel Frog line is being developed by JRC’s Dwight Rowe along with Nate Walenta, a custom leather specialist.
The Towel Frog is not a completely new concept, as there used to be a similar product made by another window cleaner that is no longer on the market. However, as Dwight explained, he and Nate have “gone a step further than the bull ring, as we have tool holsters, the Snap Frog, and spring clip versions that weren’t offered by the former supplier.”
Each item is hand-crafted using the finest material, including:
- Top Grain Leather
- Stainless Steel Rings
- Brass Rivets
- Spring Steel Spring Clips
Features and Options
1. The Ring
The ring is made from a heavy-gauge, stainless steel material that weighs the ring down just enough to hold your towel in place. Unlike hammer holsters which are sometimes used by window cleaners, your towels are less likely to get caught and fall out, and you won’t bump your ring into things when in tight places.
2. The Holster
The Single Towel Frog with belt loop version has two slots so you can easily loop your belt through and wear it.
The Double Towel Frog option has two rings, which can be used for two towels, or if you prefer, you can place small scraper or squeegee in the top ring, then a towel in the bottom. Another possibility is to place a tool in each ring.
The Tool Holster/Single Towl Frog has a small holster for your squeegee or scraper, then a ring for your towel. Or your ring can hold a second small tool.
The Snap Frog wraps around your belt and snaps in place, making it easy to take on and off.
The Spring Clip Frog features a strong steel spring clip that easily slips off your belt. This version also works if you aren’t wearing a belt; just clip it onto your pants.
Custom colors and stamp options (e.g., your company logo) are also available. Call for prices.
In addition to the Towel Frogs above, the team is working on some other exciting new products that will be coming out later this year. Watch for the new scraper holsters to be out late spring/early summer.
